Thanksgiving Craft: Handprint and Footprint Turkey Centerpiece

Thanksgiving is here so lets decorate the table with this Turkey Centerpiece.  Your child will have tons of fun making this.

You will need:

Red ink pad
Yellow ink pad
Orange ink pad
Purple ink pad
White construction paper (Enough for 6 hand prints and 1 footprint)
Brown construction paper
Scissors
Orange marker
Red marker
Toilet paper roll
Tape
Glue Dots
Eye stickers

Take the toilet paper roll and cut it in half.

Cut enough of the brown construction to cover the toilet paper roll. Tape the construction paper to hold it in place.

Press the right hand onto the orange ink pad then onto the white construction paper.  You will need 2 handprints of each color.  Repeat this process with the red and yellow ink pad.  Then cut the handprints out.

Lets do the footprint now.  Press the right footprint into the purple ink pad and cut the footprint out.

Take the eye stickers and stick them onto the footprint as shown above.  Draw the beak with the orange marker then the wattle with the red marker.

Now we put the turkey feathers together.  Spread out the handprints and put the colored handprints in some pattern.  I did an orange, yellow then red pattern.  Spread out the handprints then staple them to hold them in place.

Take the toilet paper roll and staple the handprints onto the toilet paper roll (over the tape).

Stick two glue dots on the front.

Take the footprint and press it over the glue dots.  Happy Thanksgiving!
